I was born and raised on Bowen Island, a small arts community off the coast of West Vancouver, and I feel incredibly lucky to continue to call the gorgeous place my home. I grew up in a household flowing with creative energy and took interests in dancing, drawing, and sewing. As I attended the University of British Columbia Okanagan for Visual arts, it wasn't until my 2nd year that I began to take an interest in photography as a medium. Much of my early work included themes surrounding nature and landscape, but it wasn't until I tried combining my love for dance with photography that I became hooked. My passion for photography lies in the idea that a camera can capture an image that cannot be recorded and kept by the human eye, such as movement. After University I travelled around the Hawaiian Islands and met my husband on Maui, where we now reside.
